ESSI invited to present at the School for Young Leaders
For 10 days, Macedonia’s “best and brightest” will be provided the opportunity to attend presentations and seminars designed to develop their leadership skills and creative potential.
On 19 August 2013 the 4th annual School for Young Leaders will be held on Lake Ohrid, Macedonia where Dr. Boris Porkovich, representing the Institute for the Study of European Small States (ISESS), has been invited to deliver a session titled “Motivating Others: How Leaders Create Purpose, Confidence, and Resolve.”
Dr. Porkovich is excited about the prospect of working with this group of talented young people. Commenting on the importance of the School’s work, he noted that “the School for Young Leaders is an exceptional forum and I am honored to have been invited to be part of this initiative. These young leaders will play a significant role in the future of Macedonia and as future leaders in an integrated European Union.”
The School for Young Leaders is an initiative of the President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, and integrates his vision for the advancement of the youth of Macedonia through the development of the country’s future leaders. The aims of the School are to bring together aspiring young leaders and provide the opportunity to advance their leadership skills, develop their potential for innovation, and ultimately build Macedonia’s managerial capacity.
The training program includes lectures and training exercises in the areas of leadership and management by lecturers from global academic and professional educational institutions, political figures, corporate leaders, and business groups.
H.E. Dr. Vaclav Klaus, the 2nd President of the Czech Republic, will deliver the School’s 2013 opening address.
